OUR STORY

Atlantic Harmonies Youth Choirs began as an experiment in the summer of 2019 with a single ensemble that met for seven weeks. We have since grown to FOUR ensembles with three that run for the school year (September - May) and one year-round ensemble.
Based in Wells, Maine, we proudly serve students from all over southern Maine! It is our goal to not only provide quality choral music education to each of our students, but to also provide enriching and diverse performance opportunities for students to showcase their hard work and talents.

Mission

Atlantic Harmonies Youth Choirs provides choral music education for southern Maine-based children in grades K-12, regardless of prior experience or financial limitations, by teaching healthy vocal pedagogy, ensemble singing technique, and providing enriching performance opportunities.

AHYC fosters joy, growth, and confidence in young musicians and provides a fun environment for students to discover and develop their own unique voices.

Vision

Atlantic Harmonies Youth Choirs seeks to improve the lives of children in our community by teaching creativity, leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, and discipline through music.

We foresee our choral music programs as being accessible to all students and we hope to embed our presence through musical performances and sharing the love of music with our community!
